Precision Staffing is seeking an experienced Tool Maker for a key client in the Aerospace & Gas Turbine industry. This position will be in the Mason area. We currently have an opening on both 1st and 2nd shift.
Responsibilities of Tool Maker:
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to create and build fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
- Select appropriate raw materials and machine processes to meet project specifications.
- Proficiently operate all toolroom machines, including knee mills, 3-5 axis mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, etc.
- Apply shop math, such as geometry and trigonometry, to determine machining paths.
- Modify machines to control speed, material feed, or path of cut to ensure quality production within specifications.
- Verify finished workpiece conformance to design drawings using precision measuring equipment like sine plates, gauge blocks, Cadillac gauge, micrometers, and calipers.
Qualifications for Tool Maker:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of tool maker experience.
- Proficient in operating all toolroom machines (mills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.).
- Strong technical math skills (shop math, geometry, and trigonometry).
- Must be a United States Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
- Perform under AS9100 standards.
