We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing 30-50 client payroll contribution files per day, ensuring accuracy and compliance with retirement plan regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) to validate financial data and ensure precise record-keeping.
***This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in OH, KY, IN, MO, MI, SC, VA, TX, or FL.
Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist :
- Process 30-50 payroll contribution files daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data validation and reporting.
- Work within Relias admin and a proprietary record-keeping system to maintain payroll records.
- Ensure payroll contributions adhere to retirement plan regulations and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and stakeholders regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Work independently while meeting strict deadlines and processing requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications for Payroll Specialist :
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data analysis and validation.
- 2-3 years of payroll systems experience and contribution processing.
- Strong understanding of retirement plan regulations and compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
