Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Med-Surg/Tele RN to join our dynamic team for travel assignments across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in different healthcare settings while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

**Current available locations include the Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, and Nebraska regions.**

Unit Specific Details

• Telemetry-Intermediate Care Unit 3rd floor
• Work Experience: 2 year of RN experience required
• One year of travel experience preferred
• NO Local Candidates (within 50 mile radius)
• Dysrhythmia exam needed
• Every other weekend & major holiday required
• 3 12hr shifts (Nights) - 7P - 7A
• 24 beds - private rooms
• Remote tele -centralized tele bank with tele tech
• Cardio focus: (CHF, chest pain, COPD, AFib, HTN, asthma, etc...)
• Patient Pop: Adults and Geriatrics multi-specialty tele
• Alaris pumps, Hercules beds
• PCT support usually 2 day/2 night
• Navy/white scrubs
• BLS, NIHSS, ACLS required
   

Requirements

• 1 year of recent RN experience in a Med-Surg/Tele nursing role
• Current RN license in Virginia or covered by compact
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Facility policies and procedures.
• Serves as point of contact for patient's care coordination throughout hospital departments and serves as a point of care with care coordination and family members or caregivers.
• Clinically manages patients with multi-system organ failure and/or multisystem trauma.
• Using the AACN Synergy Model, restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic, and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespan.
