A growing manufacturing facility in Walton, KY is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment used in filling, packaging, and labeling operations.
This role supports both general manufacturing equipment and controlled Medical Device production environments operating under cGMP and FDA standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and packaging machinery.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on filling, capping, labeling, conveying, and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose equipment failures using structured troubleshooting methods
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals
- Support PLC and VFD troubleshooting (Allen Bradley systems preferred)
- Replace components including motors, sensors, gearboxes, valves, pneumatic components, and drives
- Document maintenance work accurately in CMMS systems and controlled maintenance records
- Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives
- Monitor spare parts usage and identify critical inventory needs
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety standards
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime
Medical Device Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance within FDA-regulated and ISO-classified Medical Device production areas
- Follow cGMP procedures and quality system documentation requirements
- Understand how maintenance activities can impact product quality and compliance
- Maintain proper gowning procedures and clean manufacturing practices
- Ensure maintenance documentation is audit-ready and compliant
Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience maintaining automated production equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and automation components
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance documentation (Fiix a plus)
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
Preferred Experience:
- Manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, food production, or chemical manufacturing
- Maintenance on filling lines, pumps, conveyors, labeling equipment, and packaging machinery
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

- Strong attention to detail when working in regulated manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and lift from floor level
- Comfortable working at heights or elevated platforms
- Ability to work in environments between 50°F – 85°F
- Ability to operate a forklift
