Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Control Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Quality Control department at their Blue Ash, Ohio facility.
This role ensures compliance with customer-specific requirements, ISO standards, and applicable government regulations, while continuously assessing and improving the clients quality systems, processes, and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all organizational activities comply with applicable government regulations and CNC machining contract requirements
- Lead internal and supplier quality audits, including on-site audits, self-audits, technical audits, and process audits
- Develop and implement quality plans to monitor performance, report on quality delays, and manage control and tolerance gages
- Plan, organize, and direct quality resources to ensure delivery of products that meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Optimize resource utilization to improve quality processes, on-time delivery, and project profitability
- Order and/or design gages and related inspection equipment; develop and maintain gage calibration procedures
- Serve as the Quality Management Representative for applicable certifications and audits, including maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification
- Oversee PPAP submissions and ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Compile, analyze, and report quality data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for employees on the latest quality standards and best practices
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college, or a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- 5+ years of relevant quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Internal Auditor training in ISO 9001:2015 (minimum requirement)
- Experience maintaining and auditing ISO 9001:2015 certification
- Experience handling PPAP submissions
Technical Skills:
- Experience operating and programming CMM equipment
- Proficiency with OpenDMIS (Wenzel CMMs preferred)
- Strong understanding of gage design, calibration systems, and quality data collection methods
