Precision Staffing is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join the team of a key client in the Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:
- Support production control to ensure timely deliveries by routing and re-routing legacy components, potentially by designing alternative manufacturing methods or using different machining resources.
- Perform tooling layouts and concepts, including establishing datum structures on designated machines.
- Assist in identifying and implementing corrective action for nonconforming parts, actively participating in Material Review Board actions.
- Devise and implement continuous improvement ideas across ongoing projects.
- Prepare quotes for projects requiring various processing disciplines and standard items.
- Set up and operate machines or processes according to provided drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints and drawings of customer parts, ensuring understanding within your responsibility.
- Validate first article data to ensure readiness for release to the operator, providing necessary training as required, and document and establish standards to incorporate engineering changes and improvements.:
Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer:
- Technical degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, with preference for knowledge in Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
- Understanding of machine tools and their capabilities.
- Strong interest in developing automation for machine tools and part handling systems.
- Previous experience working with complex shapes and their work holding requirements.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including leading by example and sharing knowledge/skills.
