Manual / Green Machinist – Roll Grinder
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week + overtime available
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Manual / Green Machinist – Roll Grinder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes and demonstrate the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes and roll grinding equipment
- Read and interpret measuring instruments, including pi tapes, tape measures, and micrometers
- Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Perform basic mathematical calculations related to machining tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience operating manual lathes required
- Ability to read and use measuring instruments accurately
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and production lists
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
