We are actively seeking an experienced Surface Grinder Machinist for a first shift, full-time position. If you’re a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in an engineer-to-order, non-production environment, this opportunity is for you.
- 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start time available)
- Location: Lebanon, OH
- Pay Range: $26 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities for Surface Grinder Machinist
- Set up and operate surface grinding machines to produce flat and precise surfaces
- Follow blueprints and work instructions to meet tight tolerances and surface finishes
- Conduct first article and in-process inspections
- Select appropriate tooling and grinding wheels for each application
- Maintain and clean machines and perform preventative maintenance
- Document work completed and maintenance performed
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed
Qualifications for Surface Grinder Machinist
- 2–3 years of job shop experience required
(This is not a machine operator position) - Proficient with part and tool setups
- Must provide your own tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, parallels, etc.
- Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-precision environment
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques
- Experience maintaining surface grinders
- Understanding of machining tolerances and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
