Key Responsibilities for Machine Tool Mechanic - CNC Service Technician:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machines.
- Perform machine leveling, alignment, and installation at customer facilities.
- Disassemble, repair, and rebuild machine tool assemblies and subassemblies.
- Utilize precision test equipment to ensure machines meet performance specifications.
- Work independently to complete service calls and document activities accurately.
- Provide technical training and support to colleagues and customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Travel to customer sites for installation, service, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Experience for Machine Tool Mechanic - CNC Service Technician:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machine tool service and repair.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, CNC controls (Fanuc & Siemens), and test equipment.
- Experience with 5-axis CNC machines, lathes, boring mills, gantry mills, and VTL machines.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Experience with API or Leica laser calibration systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
