Slitter Operator – Temp-to-Hire
Location: Hebron, KY 41048
Pay: $21/hr (6 a.m. – 6 p.m.), $21.75/hr (6 p.m. – 6 a.m.)
Shifts: Rotating shifts
Precision Staffing is seeking Slitter Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading manufacturer. This role offers hands-on experience in production, machine operation, and quality control, with opportunities for growth within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate slitter machines to produce quality materials according to specifications.
Read production documents, bills of materials, and ensure understanding of all job requirements.
Perform machine set-ups including installing jumbos, threading film, setting blades, and programming length, speed, and tension.
Conduct first-run checks and quality verification using calipers and durometers.
Complete run-to-run changeovers, prepare cores, and maintain accurate paperwork.
Safely operate walk-behind material handling equipment.
Perform basic machine troubleshooting, including adjusting speed and tension and recovering from film breaks.
Maintain quality control throughout the production process.

Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, occasional walking, stooping, twisting, and rotating.
Occasionally lift 10–35 lbs; occasionally move loads up to 300 lbs with material handling equipment.
Adequate oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment:
Primarily indoor work with machinery and moving parts.
Interaction with forklifts and material handling equipment may occur.
Safety shoes are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
Basic math skills to compute ratios and measurements.
Clear communication skills.
No prior experience required—training is provided.
