Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, providing high-quality MRI imaging services to patients across the country. This position is ideal for an adventurous MRI Tech who enjoys travel, flexibility, and the opportunity to expand their skills while working with diverse patient populations and state-of-the-art equipment.
**Current available locations for assignments include the Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, and Nebraska regions.**
Unit Specific Details
- 8-Hr Mids, M-F 4P-12:30A.
- Call would be every 5th week
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting
- MRI certification with ARRT required
- BLS required
- Hiring Manager will interview.
- Associate's from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred)
- 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting (preferred)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
- Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Knowledge in workflows, procedures, operation, and processes of the MRI imaging modalities.
- Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others.
- Confirms the quality and accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data.
- Selects proper MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters according to established protocols.
- Contributes to the training and education of new staff and assists in oversight of MRI students.
- Provides direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedure.
- Performs IV injections and administers magnetic contrast agents specific to procedure.
- Troubleshoots equipment during malfunction in absence of service engineer and reports malfunction to radiology maintenance/supervisor.
