Line Captain
- Schedule: Start at 6:00 AM and work until the production line is finished for the day.
- Pay:
- $18.00/hour to start
- Increase to $19.00/hour upon successful completion of training. Typically 6-8 weeks
- Increase to $19.50/hour after being hired on full-time
Job Summary:
The Line Captain works in the manufacturing of a product and ensures the line is running in an efficient manner. Must be able to follow written procedures / work instructions. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals. Assists, coordinates and directs line workers in the manufacture of products for the organization. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Leads line workers in the process of manufacturing goods in production.
- Delegates workload to line workers and cover down when necessary.
- Identifies component issues in the production process and reports to supervisor.
- Verifies line is setup and ready for production.
- Performs quality checks during production and records data accurately.
- Performs line clearance after production runs are complete.
- Accurately and clearly completes production paperwork as instructed
- Works in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers BOPs and Work Instructions.
- Good Housekeeping.
Qualifications:
- 1 year supervisor experience preferred.
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to effectively communicate instructions to line workers.
- Must possess the ability to work independently as well as with others.
• Must be able to follow written procedures / work instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 5-20 pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds infrequently.
- Reach and lift overhead.
- Crouch and lift from floor level.
- Operate a pallet jack.
- Walk, stand or sit up to 95% of the time.
- Works in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F.
PPE Required:
- Chemical resistant glasses/goggles, gloves, apron, sleeves
- Smock, shoe covers, dust mask
