General Labor – 1–2 Openings
Pay: $18/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Paid 30-minute lunch + two 15-minute breaks
Lightweight belting
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; typically 10–15 lbs.
Potential pay increase upon transition to FTE with F N Sheppard
Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable General Laborer to support various areas of our specialty conveyor belting operation. This is a hands-on position in a belt fabrication shop rather than a traditional warehouse environment. Employees will assist with a variety of production and material-handling tasks and may work in different departments based on business needs.
Job Duties:
Assist with the fabrication and production of specialty conveyor belts.
Apply coatings and adhesives to belt surfaces using rollers and brushes.
Assist with cutting and preparing materials to the required size.
Operate basic production equipment to create specialty patterns and components.
Clean, prepare, and inspect finished belts for shipment.
Assist with preparing materials and products for additional processing.
Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure products meet specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist other departments as needed to help meet production goals.
Perform other general labor and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing, production, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to learn different production processes and work with various materials and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to assist in multiple departments as business needs change.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Ability to lift and move materials as required for the position.
Ability to safely perform hands-on production tasks.
Position Environment: This is a production-focused position within a specialty belt fabrication shop. The work is varied and hands-on, with opportunities to learn multiple areas of the operation. While some tasks are repetitive, the position is not considered highly strenuous and requires employees to take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
