This position involves coordinating carrier bookings, preparing documentation, tracking shipments, and maintaining excellent communication with customers and third-party providers. Key Responsibilities Freight Forwarder:
- Coordinate the export process, including carrier booking and transportation logistics.
- Prepare and process required customs clearance documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on their status.
- Manage customer relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including logistics, finance, and operations, to deliver seamless service.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and industry standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational objectives.
Qualifications for Freight Forwarder:
Education & Experience for Freight Forwarder:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in ocean exports is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies for Freight Forwarder:
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic calculations such as costs and rates.
