We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment and possess basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Shift: 6AM - 6PM (rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule)
- Pay: $18 per hour
- Position Type: Temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities for Forklift Operator:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on forklifts and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Assist with general warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, and organizing materials.
- Identify and report mechanical issues or potential hazards.
Qualifications & Skills for Forklift Operator:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
