We are seeking a skilled and responsible Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring that pallets and materials are efficiently and safely moved around our facilities. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, handling data collection from shipments, and entering this information into our warehouse management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely unload materials from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned areas.
- Collect and catalog information using scanners and enter data into the central database.
- Inspect materials during and after unloading, reporting any damages or deficiencies.
- Label and organize data for easy reference and ensure accurate documentation.
- Transport materials to production workstations and assist with manual production duties as needed.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, including reach trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to perform order picking accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with basic math for inventory counting and tracking.
- Excellent physical condition, coordination, and ability to handle heavy lifting tasks.
- Valid certification to operate forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
