Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Packer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing products for shipment by carefully packing items to ensure they are protected during transit. This role is essential in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction. The Packer will work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to safety and quality standards, and supporting the overall production process.
Responsibilities
- Select appropriate packaging materials based on product specifications and shipping requirements
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation
- Label packages accurately with relevant shipping information
- Inspect packed items for quality and completeness before dispatch
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station
- Assist with inventory management by recording packed items and updating stock levels as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies at all times during packing operations
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic understanding of inventory control and packaging procedures preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Prior experience in packing or warehouse operations is a plus but not required
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
