Precision Staffing is currently looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Freight Forwarder to join our clients team and oversee the exportation of goods by air. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a solid background in air freight logistics, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities for Freight Forwarder:
- Coordinate Air Freight Shipments: Manage end-to-end export processes by air, ensuring timely pickups, bookings, and deliveries.
- Documentation Handling: Prepare all necessary export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and air waybills.
- Track & Monitor Shipments: Keep customers informed with regular status updates and proactive communication regarding any delays or changes.
- Customer Support: Build and maintain strong client relationships; resolve issues quickly and ensure a high level of service.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (logistics, operations, and finance) to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations, trade laws, and international freight requirements.
- Additional Duties: Take on additional tasks as needed to support department goals and client satisfaction.
Preferred Experience for Freight Forwarder:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a similar field.
- Specific knowledge of air export processes is highly desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies for Freight Forwarder:
- Strong math skills for rate and cost calculations.
- High adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with air freight logistics and customs procedures.
- Understanding of international shipping and trade compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with logistics software preferred.
