About the Role:
We are hiring an experienced Assembly Production Manager for a leading manufacturing company in Burlingame, CA. This role involves overseeing a $5M P/L department, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring all production processes align with top-tier standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development:

• Recruit, train, and mentor team members to optimize operations.
• Define roles and responsibilities, supporting team growth through coaching and evaluations.
• Develop Lead Operators for key tasks like job setups, material requisitions, and process documentation.

Production Oversight & Scheduling:

• Manage the Assembly Capacity Plan to align production with goals.
• Create and monitor daily and weekly production schedules for workflow efficiency.
• Oversee production plans, set priorities, monitor progress, and resolve challenges.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Liaise between the Assembly Department and other teams, including scheduling and production.
• Provide regular updates on job statuses, schedules, and resource needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with system transitions like Veracore.

Operational Excellence & Safety:

• Conduct time studies and write procedures to improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control protocols.
• Promote 5S and LEAN manufacturing practices for a safe, organized workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in print or print converting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
