Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate the exportation of goods by air. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of air freight logistics, and the ability to maintain excellent communication with customers and third-party service providers. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in freight forwarding and logistics to contribute to a dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Air Freight Coordination: Manage the exportation of goods by air, coordinating with airlines and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and process essential documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Shipment Tracking: Track and monitor shipments, providing customers with regular updates and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as logistics, finance, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs regulations, trade laws, and other international shipping requirements.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the department.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in exportation and air freight forwarding is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations, such as cost and rate calculations, for effective shipment management.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational, and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
  • Understanding of trade laws, regulations, and international shipping processes.

Additional Skills:

  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software and systems is preferred.
