Billing Specialist
A well-established organization located near Summit Park in Blue Ash, OH is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist. This is a long-term temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Pay Rate: $22.50/hour
Candidates with 5+ years of workers' compensation billing experience may be considered at a higher rate, based on experience and expectations.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift, choose between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Responsibilities for Billing Specialist:
- Process and review medical and professional provider bills (HCFA-1500, UB-04, C-19)
- Ensure billed services are authorized, align with physician-approved treatment, and meet BWC billing regulations
- Make adjustments to submitted bills and manage over/underpayments
- Respond to billing inquiries and assist with provider enrollment
- Maintain high data accuracy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Stay updated on MCO-BWC billing and reimbursement guidelines
Requirements for Billing Specialist:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- At least 1-2 years of billing experience, with required experience in workers' compensation billing
- Ability to adapt to proprietary systems with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
