A well-established manufacturing and global distribution company in Hebron, KY is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their finance team on a 6–12 month contract. This role will support general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting while helping improve internal accounting processes.
This position offers strong hourly compensation, a stable finance team, and potential hybrid flexibility once training is completed.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM during onboarding/training
- After training, flexible start time between 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
- Potential work-from-home option one day per week (Monday or Friday)
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
- Analyze and validate financial reports and accounting data
- Research and correct G/L mapping issues within the accounting system
- Assist with accounting process improvements and workflow efficiency
- Support accounts payable resources and process transitions
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and standard costing
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
