Seeking a detail-oriented AOI Machine Operator to inspect electronic circuit board assemblies for quality and compliance with established industry standards. The ideal candidate will operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, assess electronic materials for defects, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and perform startup/shutdown procedures for AOI equipment.
- Understand fundamental machine and process concepts.
- Inspect thru-hole and surface mount components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, ICs, etc.) for proper values, polarity, and orientation.
- Develop strong computer skills with the ability to learn AOI programming.
- Follow IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards for product inspection.
- Utilize gauging equipment to meet customer and industry requirements.
- Reference assembly drawings and bills of materials to verify component specifications.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns to the team leader.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior manufacturing experience required, preferably in electronic assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Cooperative, dependable, and motivated team player.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection gauges.
