We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in our cold storage facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the work environment is clean, safe, and in compliance with industry regulations. This role requires working in a temperature-controlled environment, with proper personal protective equipment provided.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Cleaner:
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and surfaces in the warehouse, including cold storage areas.
- Remove debris, spills, and waste materials promptly and safely.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and pressure washers.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas following safety and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain organization in cleaning storage areas and equipment.
- Assist with snow and ice removal near facility entrances when applicable.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications for Warehouse Cleaner:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or maintenance is a plus, especially in warehouse or food storage environments.
- Comfortable working in a cold environment (-10°F to +35°F) with appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of cleaning equipment operation and maintenance.
